How to play FreeCell

Here's a brief guide on how to play FreeCell:

Game Setup:

1. Deck: FreeCell is played with a standard deck of 52 cards.

2. Tableau: There are eight columns in the tableau where cards are initially dealt. The first four columns start with seven cards, while the other four columns start with six cards. Some cards are face up, and some are face down.

3. Foundation: There are four foundation piles at the top of the game screen, where you need to build up the foundation piles from Ace to King for each suit (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, Spades).

4. Free Cells: You have four free cells where you can temporarily store cards during the game. These cells are usually located in the upper left corner of the game screen.

Gameplay:

1. Objective: The main objective is to move all the cards to the foundation piles, following suit and in ascending order (from Ace to King).

2. Tableau Cards: You can move tableau cards to the foundation or to other tableau columns following these rules:

   • You can build tableau columns in descending order and alternating colors.
   • For example, you can move a black 8 onto a red 9 or a red Queen onto a black King.
   • You can move a sequence of face-up cards as a group, as long as there are enough empty free cells or tableau spaces to make the move.

3. Free Cells: You can temporarily move cards to the free cells to free up tableau columns. You can only move one card at a time into an empty free cell. To move cards out of free cells, follow the rules for tableau columns.

4. Foundation: As you build the foundation piles from Ace to King for each suit, you'll create four completed piles. Once a foundation pile is filled, it cannot be moved back to the tableau or a free cell.

5. Winning: The game is won when all 52 cards are successfully moved to the foundation piles.

Controls:

• Click and drag cards to move them within the tableau, to the foundation, or to free cells.
• Click on the deck to deal additional cards to the tableau, following certain rules and strategies.
